Holland Gaas uses only high quality siliconated EPDM rubber profiles for inserting the netting system into the profiles. This lock-in system provides a user friendly installation and a perfect seal. Holland Gaas provides a tension free EPDM rubber instead of a lace.
Other suppliers often use a rough tendon or lace to pull the netting through the aluminium profiles. This tendon must be pulled into a channel in the aluminium profile with excessive force. The netting will instantly be damaged through this force. In this way the mesh openings will increase. (This already occurs when using 1, 2 or 3 pane windows, but even more when using continuous ventilation.)
The EPDM rubber provides a watertight seal between the ventilation window and the roof of the greenhouse in closed position. The use of 2 rubber closure profiles is a requirement for obtaining the certificate GLK.11-2015.
The EPDM rubber has specific features that makes the material perfect for connecting insect netting.
